Amy Lamb

Executive Coach / Activist / Educator

My Why:

To inspire others to lean into authenticity so that they can take action to enhance their life and the lives of those around them.

My Story:

I’ve never been the kind of person who could just show up to a job, do my thing, leave and ignore the areas of opportunity or areas for improvement. The winding road that documents my professional career to is a demonstration of that.

It all stems from wanting to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, to have work they love, to not have to sacrifice their health and well being for their work, and to not have to sacrifice time with family and friends to make it happen.

In every role I have been priviliged to serve in throughout my career what feeds my heart and soul the most is supporting the journey of those around me, lifting them up. My joy is in seeing others embrace who they are and letting their light shine in the world. Meraki&Me is my road to doing more of what I love and lifting others to do the same.

What My Clients Seek:

My clients are seeking a partner to support their development of strategies and tools to take action and change status quo in their organizations, in their life and in their community. They seek meaningful ways to contribute and engage in their lives, education, work and communities. They want to be more and do more to make their corner of the world better than when they joined it. They have the courage to walk their talk. They want to do all of this, not by pushing others down rather by lifting those around them up. These are my people and it is an honor to be a part of their journey.

My Commitment to You:

This is your journey and I am privileged to be a part of it! I’m committed to:

  • be your partner along the way.

  • to create a safe and supportive environment for you to take control of your future.

  • to nudge you out of your comfort zone where growth awaits you.

Brief Bio:

Amy Jo Lamb, OTD, OTR/L, FAOTA is the Chief Learning Officer and Founder of Meraki&Me. She brings to coaching practice her lens and expertise as an occupational therapist where she supports clients in identifying areas for growth, creating a strategy to accomplish desired goals, and taking action necessary to see meaningful change. She continues her work in higher education as a post-professional OTD educator at Boston University, Misericordia University, and the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Her 20+ years of experience in occupational therapy have afforded her the opportunity to work in a variety of systems from communities, healthcare, k-12 education, higher education, associations, policy development, and politics. Driven by her purpose to be a positive influence in the lives of others, as a systems thinker, Amy is able to pinpoint areas that are most amenable to change, strategically identify actions needed, and facilitate the path forward to improve outcomes for those served. Amy’s occupational therapy background blends seamlessly into the holistic approach to her coaching practice as she works with clients to realize and maximize their full potential both personally and professionally.

Here are some of the stops on her professional path:

  • Served in executive leadership positions in associations.

  • Worked in policy development at the local, state, and national levels.

  • Designed programs from idea conception to implementation and everything in between.

  • Served as a professor within both state and private universities.

As the mom of two amazing emerging adults, Amy knows firsthand the experience of trying to balance professional and personal lives. She has always believed in paving her own path, one that fit her family and her career aspirations.

Amy received her BS in occupational therapy and minor in psychology from Creighton University. She went on to complete her post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy from Creighton University in 2000.
